Bouverie Rain- The living pavilion
Bouverie Rain Our installation is an interactive way to reconnect to Bouverie Creek and the natural water systems which run under and around the site. The sound scape of rain connects to the water that was once there and connect to the heritage of area. The creek played a pivotal role in sustaining the Wurundjeri people, the traditional custodians of the Parkville area, providing them with food and social opportunities. The installation allows for tactile and auditory play and discovery as it asks for people’s participation in order for the installation to take place. The installation comprises natural, reusable and sustainable materials and are a primitive instruments that have been used across many cultures.
The entire installation was built by me along with my two group mates. The installation is also completely made out of reusable and biodegradable materials.
